When do Grafton schools start in fall 2020?

Grafton’s first day in the 2020-21 school year will be Sept. 1, with a tentative last day of school set for June 17, 2021.

School Committee Chairperson Laura Often wryly noted that the unveiling of the calendar each year was the most commented moment for parents, who need to make plans around school vacations, holidays, half days and parent-teacher conferences.

Crafting the calendar was difficult this year due to several factors: a late Labor Day, the need to close schools for the presidential election on Nov. 3, and the always unpredictable snow days.

“It’s just a strange, strange calendar year,” Often said.
