It would have been the last time the Class of 2020 physically left Grafton High School as students.
Instead, the senior class unceremoniously exited the building back in March for what everyone optimistically believed would be a brief quarantine at home as the COVID-19 pandemic spread through Massachusetts.
The senior class traded their final weeks of lockers, class bells, and fun with friends for online learning. They missed prom, spring sports, the spring musical. Their graduation ceremony is now delayed until July 19 — and instead of the Hanover Theatre, they’ll be stepping to “Pomp and Circumstance” on the football field.
For several seniors, they still wanted the experience of driving off Grafton High School property with their cars decorated and their horns blaring. And so they did, one last time.
