Paluzzi competes for Miss New England Petite
Megan Paluzzi, recently named Miss Worcester County Petite, will be competing for the title of Miss New England Petite next month.
Paluzzi, 20, a 2018 Grafton High School graduate, is a senior at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, where she is majoring in creative arts in therapy. Appropriately, her platform is mental health education.
“I never thought I would ever compete in a pageant with my size, but I was lucky to stumble upon one that celebrates the accomplishments of strong women AND my 5’0″ height,” Paluzzi said.
At Russell Sage, Paluzzi had the title role in “The Snow Queen,” was nominated for a Broadway World Berkshires award for her performance in “Baskerville,” and performed in both “Sweeney Todd” and “Oliver!” She was recently selected to the Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
“I’d also like to thank The Shine Initiative for their never ending encouragement and resources when it comes to growing my mental health platform,” she added. “Mental health education is something I am extremely passionate about, and Shine never fails to demonstrate the power a student’s voice can have.”
