$10K grant will help Community Harvest Project grow hunger relief efforts

The Community Harvest Project has been awarded a $10,000 Community Impact Grant from Fallon Health to help support healthy hunger relief.

The funds will help the volunteer-driven farm expand services to four new distribution partners, continue to increase long-term orchard output, health, and crop diversity, and actively engage volunteers to grow over 215,000 pounds of produce for donation to local hunger relief.

“Together, we can ensure that the individuals and families experiencing hunger in Greater Worcester receive the nutritious produce they need,” the Wheeler Road-based non-profit stated in a press release.

In 2021, Fallon Health distributed $110,000 in grants across its service area through its Community Impact Grants Program.
