Derry represents Project 351 with clothing drive

Alana Derry, an eighth grader at Grafton Middle School, is this year’s Grafton Ambassador for Project 351.

She recently finished a clothing drive for Cradles to Crayons that was held at the middle school, collecting more than 28 bags for donation to C2C and a local charity.

Former Gov. Deval Patrick started Project 351 to get the youths of Massachusetts involved in helping their communities. There are 351 towns/cities in Massachusetts. One eighth grade student gets selected a year in each of the state’s 351 cities in towns, with service starting in January and ending in December.

She would like to thank everyone who contributed.
