32 new COVID-19 cases reported in Grafton over two weeks
Grafton has seen an increase of 32 COVID-19 cases over the past two weeks, continuing an alarming rise in the state.
The latest figures from the state Department of Public Health brings the total of Grafton cases since the start of the pandemic to 176.
Worcester County has seen 19,095 cases since March, with 2,351 new cases over the past 14 days. Massachusetts has had 172,471 total cases, 20,197 over the past 14 days.
In neighboring towns:
- Worcester has increased by 598 over the past two weeks for a total of 7,775
- Northbridge has increased by 48 over the past two weeks for a total of 429
- Shrewsbury has increased by 67 over the past two weeks for a total of 571
- Sutton has increased by 15 over the past two weeks for a total of 122
- Millbury has increased by 24 over the past two weeks for a total of 298
UMass Memorial Health Care and Saint Vincent Hospital, as of November 12, have a combined total of 88 COVID-positive in-patients (increase of 34) and 22 total COVID- positive ICU patients (increase of 8). To date, the combined facilities have had 397 COVID- related deaths (increase of 6). A total of 578 employees have tested positive for the virus (increase of 53).
There have been 159 cumulative COVID-positive cases at Worcester colleges and universities, according to the city of Worcester. There are currently 28 active student cases. There were 26 new positive student cases this week.
In Massachusetts, 10,015 people have died from COVID-19 since March.
