Uptick in Grafton Covid cases continues with 3 more

Three new COVID-19 cases were reported in Grafton Wednesday, bringing the town’s total count to 218 since March.

The information was posted on the Board of Health’s website, which has not previously made up-to-date numbers public.  The data was collected from Epidemiology, City of Worcester, Division of Public Health and the Central Mass Regional Public Health Alliance.

The announcement came a day after 11 new cases were reported, including the first involving a Municipal Center employee. Additionally, Select Board member Ed Prisby reported that 11 Grafton residents, all between the ages of 71 and 103, have died of Covid complications since the start of the pandemic.

In Massachusetts, 10,407 people have died from Covid complications since the start of the pandemic, 1,225 in Worcester County, according to the state’s Department of Public Health. As of Wednesday, 2,744 new cases were reported in Massachusetts, 329 in Worcester County.
