Where in the U.S. is Grafton Police’s pink patch?

It’s appeared at the Grand Ol’ Opry. Spent time with U.S. Navy Saliors. It’s even, briefly, hung out with “Rocky.”

And for the month of October, it’s been proudly worn on the shoulders of the Grafton Police.

This is the Grafton Police’s pink patch, a uniform addition for the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Grafton Police Association joined more than 400 public safety agencies across the nation for the Pink Patch Project, is a public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating this devastating disease.

Grafton Police have posted photos of the patch in areas well outside of Grafton on their Facebook page throughout the month, snapped by traveling Graftonites and others, Police Chief Normand Crepeau said.

All proceeds from this year’s sales will be donated to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Grafton Police pink patches are available for a limited time at GPD Headquarters for $10. You may also send a self-addressed stamped envelope with a check/money order for $10 made payable to the Grafton Police Association – Pink Patch Project, 28 Providence Road, Grafton, MA 01519.
