VOTE NOW FOR GRAFTON DOG MAYOR!
Twenty-nine dogs have put themselves in the spotlight with the hope of being named Grafton’s first Dog Mayor.
The nominations have poured in fast and furious, with owners touting their dogs’ cuteness, proposals for Grafton, and support of local businesses. Some showed off tricks or used props. One owner even went so far as to write a poem.
Eight more dogs have joined the race, nominations are now closed, and…
THE POLL IS NOW OPEN!
The poll will close on July 2. The top three dogs will then go before a panel of judges on July 3. Due to the sheer number of candidates, you can only vote once (unless you try different browsers and gadgets), so send the link to your friends if you want to stuff the ballot box!
The contest, sponsored by the Grafton 4th of July Parade Committee, will select the town’s top dog, an honor that comes with an array of prizes — including Dog Tag #1 during the next registration!
ll nominees are invited to strut their stuff at the 4th of July Parade, when the Dog Mayor will be formally unveiled!
The parade starts at the North Street Elementary School at 10 a.m. and marches down to Grafton Common.

May the best hacker win. When a dog gets 20,000 votes in less than 24 hours? Rigged just like any election. So disappointing. I hope the hackers feel good accepting this nomination.
