Scenes from a pandemic: GHS senior holds front yard concert

They came with lawn chairs, placed a proper socially distanced apart, drawn by a lilting voice that traveled down Cortland Way.

What do you do when your friends and neighbors have been cooped up for two months? Madigan Linnane decided to hold Cortland Coronapalooza, a front yard concert where she asked for donations for Sweet Relief, a fund for musicians whose careers have been impacted by COVID-19.

Here’s her page for Sweet Relief.

A Grafton High School senior, Linnane released her first album, “Beautiful Me,” back in November. She will be a freshman at the Berklee College of Music in the fall.

Michael Harmon, her producer at Wachusett Recording in Princeton, gave her the idea when he performed for a similar fundraiser recently, said her mother, Noreen Linnane.
