‘Listening session’ on affordable housing at 25 Worcester Street postponed

The Public Listening Session regarding 25 Worcester Street, originally scheduled for August 25, has been postponed to October 14 at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at the Grafton Public Library (35 Grafton Common, Grafton, MA 01519).

Following discussions with members of the Affordable Housing Trust and municipal staff, the Planning Department will host the Listening Session in coordination with the Affordable Housing Trust. The topic to be covered will also be expanded to the Town of Grafton’s Affordable Housing strategies, specifically as outlined in the Housing Production Plan, in order to better align with the Affordable Housing Trust’s current goals and objectives.

We have addressed prior miscommunications between interested parties regarding the proposed Listening Session,” Town Planner Christopher McGoldrick said. “It is our belief that postponing the session with a realigned topic will establish increased agency and participation amongst the interested parties, as well as allow more effective public outreach and engagement regarding the Town and Affordable Housing Trust’s strategies moving forward. We look forward to continuing our support of the Affordable Housing Trust and working with the public in advancing local and regional Affordable Housing goals.”
