Letter: Grafton Police Association is fundraising this summer

Editor’s Note: I’m re-running this letter from last month after receiving multiple questions about police fundraising phone calls.

The Grafton Police Association has launched our annual fundraiser. We anticipate the fundraising to run for approximately ninety (90) days. Due to the pandemic and the related economic strains, we did not conduct a fundraiser in 2020. The Grafton Police Association relies on our annual fundraiser to support a vast array of community interests, such as youth sports sponsorships, donations to local charitable organizations and funding our annual scholarship awards to Grafton High School graduates.

This year, we will be conducting a covid-safe support decal drive. All donors will receive a Grafton Police Association support decal. We hope to return to our usual community-based events in the future.

As always, please donate only if you want to. Our membership struggled with the decision to have a fundraiser, but ultimately, we felt comfortable running a scaled-down version which will hopefully allow us to continue to support the local organizations that have come to rely on us. We are extremely proud to serve such a great community and we are thankful for your support.

If you have questions or concerns regarding this program, please feel free to contact our Association representatives: mazzola@graftonpolice.com; minardi@graftonpolice.com or crosby@graftonpolice.com
