Grafton resident Conti promoted to sergeant by Worcester County sheriff

Grafton resident Melchiorre Conti has been promoted to the rank of sergeant by Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis.

Effective immediately, Conti will begin his supervisory role in the Main Jail. Conti started his career with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office in September 2013 and is certified in CPR, Firearms, and First Responder.

“Promotions at the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office are based on merit,” Evangelidis said. “Sergeant Conti’s leadership, work ethic, and dedication to duty embodies our department’s mission and represents the best in the field of corrections.”

Conti graduated from Quinsigamond Community College with an associate degree. Conti resides in Grafton with his fiancé, Alexis, and his two children, Makena and Griffin.
