It’s happened again: Gnomes invade Grafton nature trails
The Grafton Recreation Department has declared open season on gnomes.
Arm yourself with a camera and kids and set out on the trails starting on December 23 to find five mischievous gnomes, each hiding with a special item near the trailheads.
This year’s trails include:
- 1. Brigham Hill Wildlife Area– park at 40 Meadow Lane to access the trail
- 2. Merriam Rd. Conservation Area– trail access & limited parking at: 99 Merriam Road
- 3. Grafton Library Trail– park at the far end of the parking lot at the library and you will see the trail head4. F
- letcher Reserve (Fletcher Shore Loop) – drive down Nantucket Place and park on the left– you will see a sign with the trail head
- 5. Great Meadow– parking on George Hill Rd
The game is simple: Walk the trails (make sure you’re wearing appropriate footwear and outerwear). Find the gnomes. Mark down which gnome you located on each trail and also identify its special item. Email your answers to Grafton Recreation (recreation@grafton-ma.gov) by January 2, 2022, and correct entries will be entered in a raffle for a movie night gift set.
