Grafton’s Jim Gallagher takes the mound at WooSox

Jim Gallagher was able to check an unexpected item off his bucket list Saturday night: pitch for the Red Sox.

Gallagher was selected as the “Hometown Hero” on Grafton Night at Polar Park, winning the honor of throwing out the first pitch for the WooSox, aka the Worcester (AAA) Red Sox. He was chosen by Town Administrator Evan Brassard.

“With the help of my son Kevin, I was able to throw out the first pitch and not fall flat on my face,” Gallagher joked. “A truly blessed day for my family and me.”
