Grafton’s election ballot count isn’t quite finished

Have you watched footage of election officials counting ballots in undecided states and thought to yourself “Wow! I wish I could get in on that action?”

On Tuesday, a live tallying of ballots from last week’s election is happening right here in Grafton.

Starting at 10 a.m. on November 10, all ballots postmarked on or before November 3 and received by 5 p.m. on November 6 will be opened, counted, and added to the Election Day tally.

To date, 11,289 ballots were cast in the election. In the preliminary count on Election Night, former Vice President Joseph Biden received 6,977 votes, with President Donald Trump drawing 3,958.

The count is scheduled for the Municipal Center gym, 10 a.m. until all the ballots are finished. Entry and exit for observers will be at the back of the gym. Observers must wear a mask at all times.
