Grafton Police offer RAD training for women

If you were attacked, could you protect yourself?

Grafton Police is offering RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) training to women aged 16 and older throughout the month of February. Taught by Officer Mark Benoit, the course teaches realistic self-defense techniques, beginning with awareness and risk reduction and working up to basic hands-on defensive training.

The international program has trained more than 900,000 women since RAD began in 1989.

The program will be offered February 4, 11, 25 and March 3, 6-9 p.m. in the Grafton Police training room, 28 Providence Road. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. To register, email Benoit@graftonpolice.com.
