Grafton High adds Worcester State to its Early College program

Grafton High School is expanding its Early College program, adding Worcester State University courses to its offerings in the summer of 2022.

“The expansion of our Early College program is very exciting as we have been able to offer an array of college course offerings to students while reducing college debt burden for families,” Grafton High School Principal Kevin Carney wrote in his weekly report to the GHS community. “Between Quinsigamond Community College and Worcester State University, we expect over 200 students will be enrolled in our Early College program by the start of the 2022-2023 school year.”

Worcester State’s Introduction to Public Health and Introduction to Criminal Justice will be launched on the GHS campus this summer and offered to current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Successful completion will earn students five GHS graduation credits and three college credits.

Existing college course offerings through Quinsigamond Community College include English 101 and 102, Introduction to Precalculus, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Macroeconomics, Business Law, and Introduction to Manufacturing.
