Grafton CVS will offer COVID-19 vaccine (but only if you are eligible)

The CVS Pharmacy in North Grafton will be among 18 locations in the state to offer the COVID-19 vaccine starting February 11.

This does not mean that just anyone can walk into the store and get vaccinated.

According to a news release from the Woonsocket, RI-based corporation, vaccines will be available only to individuals meeting state criteria, which will confirmed by the state in advance of the rollout. Massachusetts is now in Phase 2 of the vaccine rollout, with residents age 75 and up eligible for vaccination.

Supply for the limited rollout in the state, which is sourced directly from the federal pharmacy partnership program, will be approximately 21,600 total doses. In addition to Grafton, the vaccine will be offered in Worcester, Boston, Braintree, Cambridge, Chelsea, Holyoke, Hudson, Medfield, Palmer, Randolph, Seekonk, Sudbury, Watertown, and Weymouth. As more supply becomes available the company will expand to more locations and offer additional appointments.

Patients must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app, and people without online access can contact CVS customer service: (800) 746-7287. Walk-in vaccinations without an appointment will not be provided.

Appointments will become available for booking as early as February 9 as stores receive shipments of vaccine.
