Grafton Assistant Town Administrator Meekins resigns

Assistant Town Administrator Rebecca Meekins has resigned her position, effective Friday.

Meekins had previously expressed interest in becoming interim town administrator back in August, following the separation agreement between the town and former Town Administrator Tim McInerney. The Select Board instead opted to search for a more experienced temporary replacement .

Acting Town Administrator Carter Terenzini, in an email to the board, said he and Meekins “will shortly look at the most outstanding issues and how we might back-stop the many time sensitive projects she manages especially during the upcoming budget cycle and in light of certain other critical positions being empty.”

Meekins was mentored by McInerney since early in her career, when she interned in the town administrator’s office in 2012 while working on her masters in public administration at Clark University. After working in finance positions for Weston and Newton, she rejoined Grafton in October 2016 as McInerney’s assistant, stepping into the assistant town administrator role in August 2017.

Very best wishes to you Becca.
You have worked so hard for this Town with very little appreciation – hope our neighbors get their act together soon enough to wish you well.
