Girl Scout project addresses mental health

Girl Scout Triniti Petruzzelli has put together The Anchor Project, an event to help the community cope with mental health issues.

The August 15 event is part of Petruzzelli’s Gold Project and includes information on coping techniques such as yoga, meditation, and calming and soothing environments. It runs noon to 2 p.m. at the Grafton Lions Club. Masks and social distancing are required.

“You will be the opportunity to talk to those who have help in these areas and give you the means to help yourself or your peers, body, mind and soul,” said Petruzzelli, a member of Troop 30186. “An anchor keeps you grounded— become an anchor!”

Also included are the “My Journey” posters she is collected from community members (see flyer above on how to submit your own).
