Cook named assistant Grafton town clerk

One of the busiest offices in the Municipal Center is getting some long-awaited help.

Paul J. Cook, a Whitinsviille resident with a background in military history and museum work, was appointed assistant town clerk by the Select Board Tuesday night.

Cook most recently worked at the International Museum of World War II in Natick as an administrative assistant, which is an excellent background for a role that requires records preservation as well as customer service, Town Clerk Kandy LaVallee said.

The assistant town clerk position was cut from the budget last year, leaving only LaVallee and an office secretary to run the office.
