Grafton schools offer food assistance during pandemic closure

The recent closure of Grafton schools due to the coronavirus pandemic has created a food emergency for students on free/reduced lunch and families experience economic hardship. The following is a message from the Grafton schools about helping affected families.

We are happy to announce that we will be providing food service for families during the closure of the Grafton Public Schools.

This plan will be revisited continuously and if the closure extends we will expand as needed and also reach out for assistance if needed. As it stands right now, we look to be well supplied for the week with assistance and food.

On Monday, March 16 we will be distributing free produce. Starting on Tuesday, March 17 we will begin a to-go lunch program. Details on both programs can be found below.

Food will be made available at Millbury Street Elementary School, 105 Millbury St, Grafton, MA for Grafton students who receive free or reduced lunch or have economic hardship during the closure. Cars will be directed to the back of the school and bags will be brought to your car. You do not need to exit your car. Enter to the right of the school and go around back and exit to the right.

If unable to make it to the Millbury Street Elementary School for pickup, please contact The Grafton Food Bank at 508-277-4535. If you call, please leave your name, number, and what you need. You will be contacted and provided with what you need!
