YES Grafton plans virtual forum to discuss override
YES Grafton, a group supporting the proposed $4 million Proposition 2 1/2 override, is amping up for the June 23 election by hosting an online forum Sunday at 7 p.m.
The session is the first of two planned virtual outreach meetings. Superintendent of Schools Jay Cummings, School Committee Chair Laura Often, and other members of town committees on hand will be answering questions.
The override discussion began in December after Cummings warned of a funding crisis for the schools. While the initial push was for additional school funds, the scope was widened to include monies for additional town positions, capital spending and the hiring of the town’s first full time Fire Department positions: a fire chief and two deputies.

If your blood pressure goes up a little on Sunday evening after the “outreach” then be sure not to miss the Recreation Commission meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. The line item on the agenda says “Super/Community Park.” I wonder what that means.
