Take a taste of New Orleans at ‘Welcome to Bourbon Street’ Gala
Get ready to take a walk down New Orleans’ Bourbon Street — without ever leaving Grafton.
Spend a fun evening on Bourbon Street at Apple Tree Arts “Welcome to Bourbon Street” Gala, March 14, 6 to 10 p.m. featuring live jazz music, New Orleans style hors d’oeuvres and desserts, cocktails (cash bar) and many silent auction items at the Great Hall, One Grafton Common in Grafton.
“It’s the time of year when people want to be somewhere cheerier and warmer so we’re transforming the Great Hall into Bourbon Street in the heart of New Orleans, a city known for its southern charm and rich musical and cultural heritage,” said Gala Chair Liz Anderson Spinney. “We want party goers to enjoy a New Orleans themed night full of deliciously-inspired cuisine, signature cocktails, and jazz music, while dancing the night away in the beautifully decorated performance hall inspired by the Big Easy,” Ms. Spinney added.
General admission is $50. VIP admission costs $75 and includes a 6 p.m. early reception featuring electric and classical violinist Kathryn Haddad, a special appetizer and signature event cocktail. Catering is by Peppers Artful Events. Cocktail attire is suggested. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit school of the arts’ operations. Tickets will go on sale in the new year.
The Gala is the main fundraising event hosted by Apple Tree Arts to help fund the nonprofit school’s high-quality music and theatre arts programing. Many businesses and individuals support the event by being sponsors or providing in-kind gifts that are included in the silent auction.Contact Spinney by email at emcand29@gmail.com or call Apple Tree Arts at 508-839-4286 to inquire further.
