Six days. 115 new Grafton COVID-19 cases.

There are 115 new COVID-19 cases in the town of Grafton over the past six days, the largest spike since the start of the pandemic.

The surge affected multiple Municipal Center employees, leading to its closure last week, and a cluster in at least one location.

Overall, Grafton has seen at total of 779 cases since the first case was reported in March 2020, 209 since the start of 2021.

Meanwhile, Phase 1 of the vaccine rollout continues. Gov. Charlie Baker on Tuesday announced the expansion of the vaccine program to CVS and Walgreens pharmacies as well as health care providers.

Also on the list: Fenway Park, which will become the second mass vaccination site, joining Gillette Stadium.

Current eligible groups under Phase 1 include: Clinical and non-clinical health care workers doing direct and COVID-facing care; Long term care facilities, rest homes and assisted living facilities; First responders (EMS, Fire, Police); and Congregate care settings (including corrections and shelters).
