Select Board chooses recruiter for new TA as Terenzini gets to know Grafton

Carter Terenzini is on the job.

The new interim town administrator started last Thursday with in-person introductions to Municipal Center staff and is meeting with department head, Chair Peter Carlson told the Select Board Tuesday. 

Terenzini will have his first meeting with the board on September 1. His email is terenzinic@grafton-ma.gov.

Meanwhile, the Select Board agreed to hire Community Paradigm Associates, LLC to manage the search for a new town administrator, necessitated by the mutual parting between the Select Board and Tim McInerney, who stepped down on July 31. The company will assist with advertising and recruiting appropriate candidates, working with a search committee to narrow down finalists.

The search committee to date consists of Select Board member Ed Prisby, Planning Board member David Robbins, and School Committee member Elizabeth Spinney, as well as representatives from the Finance Committee and Board of Library Trustees. 

Town Moderator Dan Concaugh will also select three members of the public for the committee. Letters of interest may be sent to Daniel Concaugh, Town Moderator, c/o Office of the Select Board, 30 Providence Road, Grafton, MA 01519 or by email to bosgroup@grafton-ma.gov. All letters must be received by end of business day September 4, 2020.
