Plan to avoid Rte. 30 starting Monday — for 6 weeks
For months, Route 30 has been a lumpy, bumpy ride — that is, when it was open for traffic.
Beginning on Monday, Nov. 18, the work crew — and the detours — will be back.
Work is expected to take four to six weeks to complete on the final construction phase of the busy street. Crews will begin work at 7 a.m. and finish around 5 p.m.
Starting Tuesday, Route 30 from the lights at Rt. 140 to Institute Road will be closed to all but local traffic. Detours will be set up and police details will be on site; however major delays are expected.
A map of the detour routes is attached below.
