PHOTOS: Fields of flowers bring crowd to Community Harvest Project

Families took time to pick the flowers at the Community Harvest Project on Saturday, just hours before Tropical Storm Henri was set to hit the area.

While Henri wasn’t quite as fierce as advertised, the blue skies and bright sun made it a perfect day to go for a stroll in the field of flowers known as Carolyn’s Garden, named in memory of Carolyn Ambrose, CHP’s former development manager, who passed away in 2019 after a brave battle with cancer.

The Community Harvest Project is an entirely volunteer-driven farm which annually donates all its produce — which measures in tons — to food pantries and soup kitchens in Massachusetts.
