Letter: What’s needed for the Michael Cherry 5K? You.

Hello, I am writing to you because I need your help in making the first annual Michael Cherry Memorial 5K a success, and an incredible day of remembrance, prevention, and awareness.

October 5th will be the 4 year anniversary of Michael Cherry’s passing. Michael was my nephew.

My sister Andrea Cherry and I, as well as  The Oddball Foundation, have been hard at work putting together the First Annual Michael Cherry Memorial 5K. This is a community event to raise awareness about suicide prevention and is to be held at the Grafton High School on Saturday, October 2nd, in Grafton Massachusetts.

The event details are below, registration deadline is Sept. 11th and coming up quickly.

We hope you can make it, but if you can’t, please consider donating to our Gofundme instead. This is a family event, It should be a lovely fall day to get outside and get some exercise and support a great cause.

Also, if anyone wants to volunteer to help on the day of the event, there is so much you can help us with. Also, please share this with your friends as well, and anyone who might want to support or attend, the more the merrier!  If you know of anyone who wants to sponsor the event, there is a sponsorship packet as well, it’s all on this pretty in-depth site we created for the event.

We also have created a Facebook Group to keep up to date with the event and to share warm thoughts and memories of Mike.

Thanks in advance for your support, and hope to see you on October 2nd to honor Michael Cherry, a terrific kid taken way too soon.

Sincerely,

Jason Wright
