It’s not too early to think about Grafton Police’s holiday toy drive
The Grafton Police Department has started its annual toy drive for kids and teens — and this year, Santa Claus with a badge is expected to be extra busy.
“We expect demand to be high this year due to high unemployment caused by COVID19,” wrote Officer Mark Benoit, announcing the drive. “So, if you can, please help us help those in need.”
Local veterans organizations are also supporting the annual drive.
This year, bragging rights are on the line: last year, the Grafton Police collected the most toys out of all participating area departments.
“Every year people ask what age group do we need things for and the answer is always the same,” Benoit said. “TEENS, they are the hardest group to buy for and we get the least number of toys for them.”
Toys can be dropped off anytime at the Grafton Police Station, 28 Providence Road.
