Grafton’s newest theater is the high school football field
“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.”
― William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream
You may have heard of Shakespeare in the park. To this, Grafton High School is adding a new version: Shakespeare on the football field.
GHS Theatre is returning to live performance on May 14 and 15 with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” one of the Bard’s most-performed comedies.
Students will audition next week for the 60-minute adaptation, which will be performed at both 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on both nights.
The course of true love never did run smooth, and that can also be said for this production: due to current restrictions of public gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, both participation and audience numbers will be limited.
