Grafton Summer Concert Series returns to the Common Wednesday

Pack a picnic, grab a blanket, and head for Grafton Common Wednesday night.

Summer concerts are back!

The bandstand/gazebo may be under construction, but the bands will play on every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., with a lineup that touches on multiple music genres and includes the return of local favorites.

This is the first time the concert season will be held on Grafton Common since 2019, with COVID-19 wiping out public entertainment in 2020 and maintenance work on the Common moving concerts to Nelson Park.

This year’s season kicks off with the Buzztone Rhythm Revue, which describes their lineup as “a delectable stew that would whet any musical appetite.” They deliver “music spanning six decades with a bent toward familiar obscurities.”

Here’s the lineup for the season:

July 13 BUZZTONES RHYTHM REVUE  — Roots, Rock & Soul with a Side Order of Blues and Funk

July 20 DRIVE SOUTH — Classic Rock

July 27 PETTY LARCENY — Tom Petty Tribute

August 3 KELLY & THE POOR BOYS — Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute

August 10 HOLDIN’ BACK — Pop, Oldies & Feel Good Music

August 17 BEATLES FOR SALE

August 24 CLAFLIN HILL SYMPHONY
