Grafton Police deliver new bike to young theft victim

A call for a child’s stolen bicycle brought about an act of kindness from Grafton Police.

As noted on the police department’s social media, “Earlier today, Officer Mark Benoit responded to a Grafton home for a report of stolen bicycle. After taking a complaint and meeting Mason, the bike’s owner, Officer Benoit sent out a message to department members to see if they were interested in chipping in to buy him a new bike.

“Of course… everyone agreed to contribute.”

A short time later, night shift Officers Robert Collette, Benoit and Thomas Michniewicz stopped by Mason’s home to give him his new bicycle (and lock.)

“We hope Mason enjoys his new bike for many years to come,” the post concluded.
