Driver trapped as car takes out pole, knocks out power, in Grafton

A driver was trapped inside a Bentley early Saturday morning after the car took out a South Street pole and knocked out power in the area.

The Grafton Fire Department was called out at 2:28 a.m. to extricate the driver, who was trapped in the car. The driver was evaluated at the scene and no injuries were reported, according to the fire department.

Homeowners reported electrical wires ripped from their homes and property damage. National Grid restored power to the area but many residents will require additional services.

The crash is under investigation.
