Boston Marathon runner Giese plans fundraiser for TB12 Foundation

It’s on October 11 instead of Patriots Day, but Grafton native Maddy Giese will be hitting the road to run 26.2 miles in her very first Boston Marathon — for a cause.

Giese is running to raise funds for the TB12 Foundation, founded by former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Its mission is to help educate and inspire athletes to excel in both sports and life by providing access to innovative health and wellness resources that support preparation, performance and recovery.  It empowers those at-risk to overcome economic or health-related obstacles to reach their performance goals.

On Saturday, September 25, Giese will hold a fundraiser at Town House Tavern, 7-9 p.m. There will be signature cocktails, live music, and raffles, which include an $150 Athleta Gift Card, Dry Bar Gift basket, Patriots tickets, Grafton Country Store basket, Highfields Golf Course foursome, Quite Fetching Barkery and Pet Boutique Gift Card, Patriots Swag Bag and other items.
