Reporter’s Notebook: You too can be on a Grafton town board!

June is sneaking up on us, and every political nerd knows what that means….

Yes! It’s almost the end of the fiscal year!

Before you break out the party glasses for FY2023, let’s welcome our newest town officials to their first meetings this week. Tuesday sees Ann Marie Foley and Andy Jefferson joining the Select Board and Liora Bram taking a seat on School Committee, along with newly re-elected Amy Marr and Mariagarciela Vargas-Baker.

Jefferson has also submitted his resignation on the Finance Committee, where he represents Precinct 1. Do YOU live in Precinct 1 and want to dive into town budgets? This could be your lucky break.

Top, a Grafton fire truck gets a final loving polish before the Little League Parade earlier this month. Above, a Little Leaguer climbs a tree prior to the parade. These photos have nothing to do with the rest of this story, but I liked them, didn’t use them, and figured “hey! Let’s throw them in here!”

Speaking of, are you looking for a way to get involved in the town? The following Boards and Committees have membership terms due to expire June 30:
