Photo Gallery: Get yourself to the Grafton Farmers Market
Grafton Farmers Market fans had no trouble finding their favorite source of local produce and goods in its new location at the Grafton Municipal Center.
There was just one issue: the bread.
A line formed for Bread Guy Breads the second the market opened, stretching past other vendors and around the corner of the building at one point. Owner Chuck Brown, who admitted he had been up baking since 1 a.m., sold out of his famed cinnamon rolls and sourdough breads in 40 minutes. Since vendors are required to stay until close, he spent the next two hours listening to customers’ tales of just missing out on his weekly online orders.
But there were plenty of other attractions: Red River Farm, which will bring meats to market weekly; Peg’s Preserves, featuring jams, pickles, and herb seasonings; early produce from multiple farms; booths with crafts, soaps, and honey.
The Grafton Farmers Market runs through the summer at the Grafton Municipal Center, 2-6 p.m. each Wednesday.
