Letter: Loaves and Fishes Pantry closed as Grafton Food Bank reopens

The Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry at the Congregational Church of Grafton is now closed. The Grafton Food Bank, located in the Grafton Municipal Center is planning to reopen for in-person pickup on June 8, to continue meeting the needs of those families requiring assistance. Please visit them at http://graftonfoodbank.org/ or call 508-277-4535.

The church’s food pantry opened in June 2020 to serve local families who needed food because of the pandemic. Thank you to the many people in town, both church members, food pantry volunteers and the general community, who kept the cabinet stocked all through the past year. It was greatly appreciated by the church’s Mission Committee and was a true mission to feed the hungry. The pandemic left many townspeople food insecure, and the church is glad our small effort was a comfort to many of our neighbors. The pantry was regularly used and received numerous thank you notes. Blessings to all our loyal donors and our many customers in need.
