Grafton Democrats deliver baskets to families in need

The Grafton Democratic Town Committee recently organized and donated baskets for local families in need. The committee purchased shelf-stable pantry items and hygiene products. Each family also received a gift certificate to a local restaurant and a gift card to Stop and Shop.

“The GDTC recognized that many Grafton families were financially impacted very hard during the pandemic, and we wanted to do something that would help,” said Dan Cusher, GDTC Chair. “Giving a hand up is part of the Democrat party values, so we were grateful that through the generosity of our members, we were able to provide some assistance to families in need. We hope that the baskets will help ease the burden this month and spread some joy in our community.”

Members of the GDTC were able to purchase items for the baskets through donations raised within the committee. The GDTC partnered with The Grafton Schools to identify families in need and worked with the principals to deliver the items. As part of its town outreach program, the GDTC also donated $500 to The Little League® Challenger Program.

The GDTC is always looking for new members and typically meets the first Thursday of the month. Any Democrat looking to get involved in with the committee can contact: info@graftondemocrats.com
