Five young teens injured in Upton rollover, no adults in car
Three Grafton residents were among five juveniles injured in an overnight rollover crash on Hartford Avenue in Upton.
The five occupants of the Jeep Renegade, including the driver, ranged in age from 13 to 15 years old, Upton Police said. Three were ejected on impact and the remaining two were able to exit on their own after the crash.
Photos released by Upton Police showed the Jeep on its roof with car parts scattered on the road.
Grafton residents familiar with the families said three of the occupants were from town, with the remaining two from Upton. Upton Police could not confirm.
Three of the teens were transported to local hospitals by EMS with injuries identified as “non-threatening.” The remaining two were transported by family members for evaluation.
No charges have been filed. The accident remains under investigation by the Upton Police Department and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Unit.
