Grafton-based Goimagine launches with five local storefronts

Five Grafton makers are using their talents to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children through a new movement called “The Caring Economy.” 

On Tuesday,  these Grafton-based makers unveiled their storefronts with the launch of Goimagine.com, joining thousands of makers around the country to kick-start the site, which donates 100 percent of its profits to children’s charities.

By bringing their shops to Goimagine, these makers are helping support this new mission-driven marketplace.

“When I learned about Goimagine I couldn’t wait to get involved,” said Daniels, who offers handmade wood signs and art prints specializing in meaningful quotes and sayings.  from Dee’s Signs. “It’s such an easy way to do good in the world. The other corporate sites I’ve sold on always felt like they were motivated only to make as much money as possible. Being on a site that is focused on helping children in need seems like a no brainer.”

Goimagine is the world’s first marketplace focused on company growth solely for the purpose of increasing charitable donations. By shifting the focus of profits from wealthy investors to providing social good Goimagine hopes to start bringing balance to a lopsided economy.

“We are very excited we have so many Grafton makers that have decided to join our growing community of handmade sellers across the country,” said Jon Lincoln, the Grafton resident who founded Goimagine. “Our hope is to prove that an online marketplace can be successful while also focusing on social responsibility.”

Goimagine has already donated to their first charity, Horizons for Homeless Children in Boston, and has plans to donate to children’s charities throughout the United States as it continues to grow.

“I can’t wait to see where this goes and I’m excited to be a part of such a great new movement,” Daniels said.
